Here’s How We Did It!

The Organic search results for this category were heavily dominated by big players like Amazon, Flipkart, Electronics Comp, Robu and the likes. The domain authorities of these brands were much higher than Robocraze, and so were their topical breadth and authority.

Overall in the market, Robocraze stood at 9th position when we started. Our goal for year 1 was to solve multiple issues on the website related to technical, content and on-page SEO. And as a result, we wanted to grow their organic traffic & revenue significantly.

Approach

We understood during our initial audit that the niche is very dynamic as other competitors were also heavily working on their own websites for SEO gains. Hence, we chose to do a more frequent gap analysis and iterated our solutions to be beating the market and gain long-term rankings.

Content Gap Analysis

Through monthly content gap analysis, we identified 150+ blog topics and 50+ collection page creation opportunities. We also helped the Robocraze team strategically add 500+ new products to the catalogue basis our content gap analysis. Overall this exercise helped us increase our content breadth and hence the topical authority – eventually leading to massive traffic gains.

Off-Page Gap Analysis

We created 20+ Guest Posts + 100+ free links on a monthly basis for the brand while also doing 50+ Guest Posts in certain months when we identified increased activity from competitors. This allowed us to close the gap with market leaders soon and improved our DA from 19 to 40.

Query Level Gap Analysis

We also prioritised 100+ pages that were very important from a revenue point of view. For such pages, we identified relevant search queries and conducted a query-level gap analysis to fix all gaps and improve search rankings. Eventually, we were able to rank 85% of the selected search queries within the top 5 of Google Search.

Impact

6X Organic Growth

We achieved 6X traffic growth for the brand organically, from 10X monthly sessions to 63X monthly sessions. We started when the brand was in 9th position wrt a share of voice in their market. In 12 months – Robocraze reached 3rd position in their market for share of voice.

SERP Impact

We dominated 3200+ SERPs with page 1 rankings, including 90+ Featured Snippet slots.
